Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students Himachal Pradesh (HP) 2023 has been introduced by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The eligible candidates for this scholarship include Scheduled Tribes (ST) category students who are admitted in Class 9 and Class 10 across HP schools. - The candidate should have domicile status in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh
- Students from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community are eligible to apply
- He/she has to be enrolled in Class 9 or Class 10 in a school in the HP state and should not be availing any other scholarship
- The applicant’s family income must not exceed INR 250000 lakh from all sources per year
- The student is required to hold a valid Scheduled Bank account that is linked to his/her mobile number and Aadhaar Card
Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students Himachal Pradesh 2023: Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship benefits are listed in the following details:
- Day Scholars:
Scholarship for 10 months: A sum of INR 225 monthly or 2250 annually
Books and ad-hoc grant: A sum of INR 750 annually
- Hostellers:
Scholarship for 10 months: A sum of INR 525 monthly or 5250 annually
Books and ad-hoc grant: A sum of INR 1000 annually
- Extra Disability Allowance:
Differently-abled students will receive an extra grant of INR 800 per month or 9600 annually if they are hostellers and INR 600 per month or 7200 if they are for day scholars.
Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students Himachal Pradesh 2023: Documents to Submit
Ensure to submit the given documents when applying:
- 1 latest passport-sized photo of the student
- Copy of Original Scheduled Tribes Certificate, as certified by an Authorized Revenue Officer
- Income Declaration Certificate of self-employed parents
Note: In case the student has received a scholarship under the same scheme in the past year, they have to provide an acknowledgement receipt of the same.
Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students Himachal Pradesh 2023: Application Procedure
The different steps in the application process are given below:
- As your initial step, browse the National Scholarship Portal
- On the home page, go down to the “Applicant Corner” section and select the “New Registration” tab
- Study the prescribed guidelines, tick the checkboxes, and then tap the “Continue” link
- On the following page, provide your registered mobile number and enter captcha code and OTP; thereafter, tap the “Submit” link
- The registration page then comes up on the screen, where you have to fill in the given fields to get registered
- The registration process includes the generation of “Application ID” and “Password”, which are your login credentials
- Subsequently, go to the “Fresh Application” tab for the login page to come up on the screen
- Here, sign in to your account with your login details to access the application form
- Input all the required information in the form and go on to upload the relevant documents
- Always check your application for any errors and make the changes before application submission
